1,000 sued over eviction drive clashes in Khulna | District

KHULNA, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) - Two separate cases have been filed in connection with Sunday’s clashes between law enforcement personnel and residents of the Bastuhara Colony in Mujgunni area in the city during an eviction drive. A total of 1,000 people have been accused across the two cases, including 69 named individuals. According to police, the cases were filed on Sunday night—one by the National Housing Authority (NHA) and the other by police. The allegations include obstructing government duties, vandalism of state property, arson, attacking police officers, and injuring members of law enforcement agencies.
