DHAKA, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) - Country's both bourses, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) - today plunged due to mainly price fall in large-cap securities. DSEX, the broad index of the DSE, shed 44.7 points to settle at 5,337 points as against 5,382 points in the previous trading session. Meanwhile, investor participation remained subdued, with market turnover further falling by 12.3% to a 2.5-month low of TK 5.4 billion from TK 6.2 billion in the previous session. On the sectoral front, Pharma (16.1%) issues exerted the highest turnover, followed by Bank (15.4%) and Textile (11.8%) sectors.
