DSCC working to alleviate waterlogging | News

DHAKA, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) - The waste management department of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has taken steps to alleviate sufferings of city dwellers due to waterlogging. The temporary waterlogging occurred in several areas of the DSCC following torrential rain, said an official. It rained heavily in Dhaka due to the influence of the low pressure formed in the North Bay of Bengal and adjacent areas, according to the met office. The DSCC official said that staffs of the waste management department have been working ward-based, while emergency response team remains ready.
