Durga Puja to be celebrated at 659 mandaps in Habiganj | District

HABIGANJ, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) - Sharadiya Durga Puja, one of the biggest religious festivals of the Hindu community, will be celebrated at 659 mandaps across Habiganj district this year. The five-day festival will begin on September 28 with Mahashashthi and conclude on October 2 with Bijoya Dashami and the immersion of idols in local water bodies. Last-minute preparations are underway at the puja mandaps, with artisans working tirelessly to complete the idol-making process on time. Organizers said all arrangements are progressing smoothly.
