Govt. allocates rice for mandaps ahead of Durga Puja | News

DHAKA, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) – The government has allocated 16,495 tonnes of rice for 32,990 mandaps ahead of the upcoming Durga Puja across the country, an official press release said here today. It said the disaster management and relief ministry sanctioned the food grains through which every mandaps would get 500 kg of rice. In line with the decision the 16,495 metric tons of rice was allocated to deputy commissioners (DCs) or administrative heads of different districts for distribution to the mandap managements within their purview.
