DHAKA, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) – The capital city witnessed 34mm rain till this morning, leaving most of the city streets waterlogged and causing suffering to commuters. Heavy rain, accompanied by thunderbolt, was occurred in the city between 5:45 am and 7:00 am today while waterlogging was observed in Shantinagar, Siddeshwari, Malibagh, Dhanmondi, Mohammadpur, Kalabagan, Karwan Bazar, Green Road, Manipuri Para, New Market, Asad Gate, Jigatola, and other areas. In some places, the water reached knee level, while in others it was waist deep. According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), 34 millimeters of rain fell in the city between midnight and 6:00am today.
