Rain submerges Dhaka streets, disrupts commuting

Continuous rainfall since early Monday has flooded several areas of the capital, Dhaka. Waterlogging has been reported not only on major roads but also in many narrow lanes across the city. The accumulation of water on the streets has caused severe traffic congestion, inconveniencing office-goers and daily commuters. Knee-deep water has been reported on the roads of Rampura, Badda, Mirpur, Dhanmondi, and Mohammadpur.
