Yunus leaves for New York with five politicians to attend UN General Assembly

Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has left for New York to attend the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). He departed Dhaka's Shahjalal International Airport around 1:45am on Monday on an Emirates flight bound for Dubai, from where he will fly to New York. The interim prime minister has included six leaders from the BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and National Citizen Party (NCP) in his official delegation for the UNGA session. Of them, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman's Foreign Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir, Jamaat-e-Islami deputy chief Abdullah Mohammad Taher, NCP Member Secretary Akhtar Hossain, and Senior Joint Member Secretary Tasnim Jara have all left Dhaka for New York.
