World Car-Free Day tomorrow | Others

DHAKA, Sept 21, 2025 (BSS) - The World Car-Free Day will be observed in Bangladesh like elsewhere across the world tomorrow to encourage the use of bicycles, walking and public transport instead of private cars. The day has been observed as a government initiative in Bangladesh since 2016. This year, the event is being jointly organised by 62 government and private organisations under the slogan: "Limit the use of private cars to protect society, health and the environment." Marking the day, a discussion will be held at Agargaon Metrorail Station at 10:30 am. Sheik Moinuddin, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser for the Ministry of Railways alongside the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, will attend as chief guest there....
