Bashir for increasing internal capability to achieve national surplus | Business

DHAKA, Sept 21, 2025 (BSS) - Commerce Adviser Sheikh Bashir Uddin today said that the core objective of the nation's economy must fundamentally shift to creating a surplus from expenditure to consistently achieve national success. "Despite being a $400 billion economy, Bangladesh is currently unable to achieve a surplus," he said while speaking as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the 'Road to Made in Bangladesh and Agro Machinery Fair 2025' in the city.
