RANGPUR, Sept 21, 2025 (BSS) - Tender plants of Transplanted Aman rice aregrowing superbly following recent rainfalls predicting an excellent production of the crop in Rangpur Agricultural Region this season.Officials of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) said transplantation of Aman rice seedling was already completed last week, exceeding the fixed farming target of the crop by 0.17 percent in all five districts of the region.Despite inadequate rainfalls during July and August last, farmers with assistance of the DAE and other agriculture-related organisations completed transplantation of Aman rice seedling timely mostly using irrigated water to crop fields."However, the frequent rainfalls during August and September worked as a tonic for growing Aman rice plants," Acting Additional Director of the DAE for...
