Poet Rezauddin Stalin becomes new director general of Shilpakala Academy

Poet Rezauddin Stalin, the member secretary of the National Poetry Council, has been appointed the new director general of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. “He joined the [cultural affairs] ministry today. He will come here in a bit. He has not come yet,” Shilpakala Academy Secretary Mohammad Wares Hossain said on Sunday. Poet Mohon Raihan, National Poetry Council convener, also confirmed the appointment. The appointment comes a week after an office order had assigned the role to Abul Foyez Md Alauddin Khan, additional secretary (administration) at the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, in addition to his existing duties.
