Hasibul appointed as selector for national team | Sports

DHAKA, Sept 20, 2025 (BSS)- The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) todayappointed former pacer Hasibul Hossain Shanto as the new selector of theNational Cricket Team. Media and Communications Committee Chairman Iftekhar Rahman Mithu announcedit after a meeting of the BCB at its headquarters at Sher-e-Bangla NationalCricket Stadium. Hasibul, who has been the selector of the age-level teams for a long time,will work with the chief selector Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu and Abdur Razzak. Hasibul indeed replaced Hannan Sarkar who joined coaching, leaving the postvacant since March. Popularly known as Shanto, Hasibul spent his playing career as a fast bowler,and took six wickets in five Tests while grabbing 29 wickets in 32 ODIs...
