The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a temporary visa ban affecting citizens of nine countries, including Bangladesh. The new restrictions, set to take effect in January 2026, were disclosed in an official notice published on UAE Visa Online. Under the directive, nationals from the listed countries will be barred from applying for UAE visas including tourist, work, and business visas until further notice. However, individuals already residing in the UAE with valid visas remain unaffected and may continue living and working legally in all the emirates in the country – Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain.
