Access to credit for agri sector can enhance food security: BB Governor

Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Ahsan H Mansur said that agriculture is not just a livelihood for farmers, it is the backbone of the nation's food security and economy. He urged bankers to ensure support and easy access to credit for agricultural sector farmers and entrepreneurs. He made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the "Agricultural Entrepreneur Gathering and Skill Development Training" event organized by United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) for the farmers of Cox's Bazar district on Thursday.
