Jamaat iterates demand for polls under PR system

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Parwar on Thursday, September 18, called for holding the next national elections under the Proportional Representation (PR) system based on the July Charter, creating a level playing field before the national election. “We are ready to return to the negotiation table, but the election must be held under the PR system,” he said.
