Jamaat vows to resist election unless July Charter gains legal footing

The Jamaat-e-Islami leaders have warned that no election will be allowed in the country unless the July National Charter is given a legal foundation through a constitutional order or a referendum. The announcement came on Thursday at a protest rally organised by Jamaat’s Dhaka city north and south units at the south gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
