Newly elected JUCSU leaders sworn in | Others

JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Sept 18, 2025 (BSS) - Newly elected leaders of Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JUCSU) were sworn in this afternoon. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan administered the oath this afternoon at the university’s Senate Hall. Family members of the July Uprising martyrs, deans, hall provosts, faculty members, students, and university officials were present. A one-minute silence was observed before the ceremony to honor the late Lecturer of the Fine Arts Department, Jannatul Ferdous, who passed away while performing electoral duties. The JUCSU polls, held on September 11 after 33 years of pause, saw the Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir backed ‘Somonnito Shikkharthi Jote’ win in 20 of the 25 posts, including General Secretary (GS) Mazharul Islam.
