Chattogram University Central Students’ Union (CUCSU) Chief Election Commissioner Monir Uddin has said counting votes by hand is impossible. Indicating a policy decision in favour of machine counting, he said on Wednesday that manual tallying would not be feasible, as each student is set to cast 40 votes. Monir noted that discussions had been held with institutions experienced in handling OMR sheets during admission tests. “Answer scripts in admission exams are processed by machines, and there is no crisis of trust there.
