3,500 physicians to join health sector soon: DGHS DG | News Flash

DHAKA, Sept 17, 2025 (BSS) - Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Director General Professor Dr Md Abu Jafar today said 3,500 physicians will join the health sector soon. “After completing some processes, 3,500 doctors will join the health sector as soon as possible,” he told BSS in an interview at his office here today. The DG said that recommendations have already been made for their appointment from the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) through special BCS. He hoped that they will be able to join this month after completing police verification and some other administrative work.
