DNCC official suspended after 'offering bribe' to administrator

Mizanur Rahman, an administrative officer at the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), has been suspended over allegations of offering a bribe to Administrator Mohammad Azaz. Action was taken against Mizanur on Sept 8, but the matter came to light on Tuesday. The DNCC said a departmental case will be filed against him. An office order signed by DNCC Secretary Md Mamun-ul-Hasan states that a departmental case has been filed against Mizanur, an official of the DNCC Region-1 Administration Branch, on charges of negligence in the discharge of their duties, misconduct, inefficiency, and corruption or fraud.
