Land acquisition for Dhaka-Sylhet four-lane highway to be completed within three months: Sylhet DC  | District

SYLHET, Sept 16, 2025 (BSS) - Sylhet Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md Sarwar Alam today expressed optimism that land acquisition for the Dhaka-Sylhet four-lane highway project will be finalized within the next three months. "The construction of the Dhaka-Sylhet four-lane highway has been delayed due to land acquisition issues in the Sylhet section. High-level officials recently visited Sylhet and held discussions with us. I hope the land acquisition process will be completed within the next two to three months," the DC said while speaking to the media during a visit to the Sylhet Central Bus Terminal.
