Stocks extend gaining streak | Business

DHAKA, Sept 16, 2025 (BSS)- Country's both the bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- today witnessed an upward trend like earlier as investors continued showing renewed buying interest particularly on banking and textile sector stocks. DSEX, the broad index of the DSE, advanced by 34.9 points to settle at 5,510 points as against 5,475 points in the previous trading session. Market analysts observed that the market started off with an upward momentum riding on price appreciation across the majority of scrip, although continued profit-taking tendency kept the indices on check.
