2,000 police personnel to oversee Rajshahi University elections, RMP commissioner says

The Rajshahi University Central Students’ Union (RUCSU), hall council, and Senate elections will be overseen by 2,000 police personnel, according to Rajshahi Police Commissioner Mohammad Abu Sufian. During a briefing on Tuesday afternoon, he said that intelligence teams are already monitoring the internal environment of the university. He said, “Given the size of Rajshahi University and its multiple entry points, we will establish a security ring centred around election booths, effective from the day before the elections.
