Election officials’ conference set for Sept 27

The Election Officers' Conference is set to be held on Sept 27 with the aim of conducting a "free, fair and impartial" 13th national election next year. On Tuesday, Bangladesh Election Commission Officers' Association (BECOA) Convener Mohammad Monir Hossain said that the conference will be organised at the Election Commission headquarters, with all officials expected to attend. The association has raised three demands, including the promulgation of the "Election Commission Secretariat (Amendment) Ordinance-2025" as soon as possible, taking effective steps to form the "Election Commission Service", and handing the EC's own officials the responsibility of conducting the national polls.
