CUMILLA (North), Sept 16, 2025 (BSS) - Cumilla district police have taken extensive security measures ahead of Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Bangalee Hindu community. Superintendent of Police (SP) Nazir Ahmed Khan disclosed the measures at a press conference held at the Police Lines auditorium this afternoon. He said police operations will be carried out in three phases, during the preparation of the festival, throughout the celebrations and at the time of immersion. A total of 950 police personnel will remain deployed round-the-clock in small teams across the district.
