Former Gaforgaon municipality mayor among 12 held in city | Others

DHAKA, Sept 16, 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested 12 more leaders and activists of Awami League (AL) and its affiliated organizations including former mayor of Gaforgaon municipality from different parts of the capital city. They were arrested on charges of creating chaos to deteriorate the law and order situation by bringing out sudden processions in the capital city. Deputy Commissioner of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed their arrests.
