A major reshuffle has been carried out in the tax department through separate orders issued by the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and the Ministry of Finance on Monday (15 September). A total of 182 assistant revenue officers have been transferred, while a joint tax commissioner has been sent on compulsory retirement and a tax inspector has been temporarily suspended. According to a notification from Tanvir Ahmed, Second Secretary of NBR (Customs and VAT Administration), the 182 officials have been transferred to new postings.
