Bangladesh has recorded five more deaths from dengue fever in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of fatalities this year to 155. A total of 636 new patients have also been admitted to hospitals with the Aedes mosquito-borne disease during the period, raising the tally of hospitalisations this year to 38,527. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) bulletin on Monday said two of the dead were under treatment at Kurmitola General Hospital, and one each at Mugda Medical College Hospital, Barishal Sher-E-Bangla Medical College, and Barguna 250-bed General Hospital.
