Five Bangladeshi students have been expelled from Assam's National Institute of Technology Silchar for a year on charges of alleged drug abuse and assault. Indian media outlet NDTV reports that these students were enrolled at the institution with scholarships from the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR).
