Adequate measures taken to celebrate Durga Puja in Rajshahi peacefully | District

RAJSHAHI, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS)- All sorts of necessary measures were taken to celebrate Durga Puja, the largest religious festival of the Hindu community, in a peaceful and festive mood. In the district, the five-day Durgotsab will be celebrated in 462 mondaps, consisting of 382 in rural areas and 80 in the city, from September 28. The festival will begin amid Shasti and will end through Dashami. These were revealed in a preparatory meeting for the Sharadiya Durgotsab held at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner (DC)'s Office today. DC Afia Akhter presided over the meeting.
