Rashidpur gas field adds more 8 mmcfd gas to national grid | News

DHAKA, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) – An additional 8 mmcfd gas would be supplied to national grid daily from the newly discovered Rashipur Gas Field under Bahubal upazila of the district. Director (Operation) Petrobangla formally inaugurated the gas supply to the national grid from the Rashidpur Gas Field yesterday evening when Managing Director of Sylhet Gas Field Eng. Abdul Jalil Pramanik and BAPEX Managing Director Md. Fazlul Haque were present, among others. Deputy General Manager of Rashidpur Gas Field Sumon Bikash Das revealed that an additional 8 mmcfd gas would be supplied to national grid from a new layer of the gas field daily.
