Durga Puja to be celebrated in 455 mandaps in Jhenaidah | District

JHENAIDAH, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) - The biggest religious festival of the Bangalee Hindu community, Sharodiya Durga Puja, will be celebrated in 455 mandaps across Jhenaidah district this year. With only a few days left before the festival begins, idol makers at various mandaps are passing busy days preparing for the celebrations. According to district administration sources and Puja Udjapon Committee, Durga Puja will be celebrated at 109 mandaps in Sadar upazila, 101 in Kaliganj, 46 in Kotchandpur, 125 in Shailkupa, 27 in Harinakundu, and 47 in Maheshpur upazila.
