NILPHAMARI, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) - The water level at Dalia point of the Teesta river in Nilphamari district is nearing danger level due to onrush water from upstream region and hilly areas.“Low-lying areas and chars of 15 villages in Purba Chatnai, Pashchim Chatnai, Khoga Khoribari, Goyabari unions under Dimla upazila of the district have been inundated as the Teesta river is overflowing,” Executive Engineer of the Dalia Water Development Board Amitav Chowdhury told BSS.The water level of the Teesta may rise during the next 24 hours meaning the low-lying areas in the district are likely to be flooded, he said. “We are closely monitoring the rising trend of water level in the river . . . we are taking...
