Additional DIG of Police, Hamidul Alam Milon, a native of Sariakandi Upazila in Bogura, has been placed on compulsory retirement for participating in his wife’s campaign during the 12th parliamentary elections. According to a gazette issued on Wednesday (10 September) under the President’s order, he has been sent on compulsory retirement. The gazette states that the proven allegations against him constitute “misconduct” under Rule 3(b) of the Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 2018, and Section 45(1) of the Government Servants Act, 2018.
