DHAKA, Sept 14, 2025 (BSS) -The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has approved filing of cases against 31 people of 13 recruiting agencies on charges of amassing over TK 1159 crore. Among the agencies, one is owned by Shahadat Hossain Selim, former president of the Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) . The preparation of filing the case is at final stage, which will soon be lodged formally, Director (prevention) of the ACC told a media briefing. In the allegations, the ACC said the chairmen, managing directors and directors of the recruiting agencies amassed the money by creating a syndicate while they were office bearers of the HAAB.
