Ex-NBR member Motiur, his wife taken on one-day remand   | Others

DHAKA, Sept 14, 2025(BSS) - A court here today granted one-day remand to former member of National Board of Revenue (NBR) Motiur Rahman and his wife former Chairman of Raipura upazila parishad Layla Kaniz for interrogating them in connection with a corruption case. The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) earlier filed a case against Motiur Rahman, who became controversial after buying a goat for his son on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha in 2024 and his wife Laila Kaniz. According to the court sources, Motiur and his wife were taken to the court of Metropolitan Magistrate (MM) Monirul Islam from Dhaka Central Jail by police.
