Ex Banshkhali upazila parishad chairman Khorshed held in Ctg | Others

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 14, 2025 (BSS): Police have arrested Khorshed Alam, former Chairman of Banshkhali Upazila Parishad and the labour affairs secretary of the Chattogram South District Awami League. He was wanted in several criminal charges including violence and arson during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement.The arrest was confirmed by Officer-in-Charge (OC), Kotwali Police Station Md. Abdul Karim, who stated that Khorshed was detained from Cheragi Pahar area of the city on Saturday night.According to police, Khorshed Alam faces at least six cases for attacking students protest that resulted in violence and setting fire on a hospital during the July Uprising last year.
