'Acquaintance' held after allegedly murdering man, raping his wife in Cox's Bazar

Local residents have detained and turned a man over to the police over allegations of killing another man and then raping the victim’s wife in Cox's Bazar. The incident occurred around midnight on Sunday in the Kolatoli area of the beach town, according to Cox's Bazar Model Police Station chief Elias Khan. Authorities later recovered the body of the man, believed to be around 55 years old. He was a resident of Rangamati. The detainee, meanwhile, is aged 54 and was reportedly intoxicated at the time.
