The Election Commission has called on students and others involved not to be misled over the vote counting for the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JUCSU) and hall elections. The appeal came in a media statement on Friday evening from AKM Rashidul Alam, member secretary of the commission, amid growing frustration over the delay in publishing results. Nearly 24 hours after voting ended, the JUCSU election results have yet to be announced. Demanding a swift announcement, many students gathered outside the JUCSU Senate Bhaban on Friday evening.
