EU ambassador visits water treatment plant in Khulna | News

KHULNA, Sept 12, 2025 (BSS) – Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bangladesh, Michael Miller, today visited the water treatment plant established under the Local Government Initiative on Climate Change (LOGIC) project at Lakshikhola in Pankhali Union under Dakop Upazila in Khulna. Later, he attended a views-exchange meeting with beneficiaries of the project at the Shri Shri Nitai Gaur Sebashram. The water treatment plant, constructed under the project, produces 1,000 liters of safe drinking water per hour and 9,000 liters per day. The water is sold to beneficiaries at the affordable rate of Tk 0.50 per liter. The revenue collected is used for repair and maintenance purposes.
