78 pc turnout in DUCSU proves inclusive election possible without AL, JP: Fuad | Others

DHAKA, Sept 12, 2025 (BSS) – AB Party secretary general Barrister Asaduzzaman Fuad today said 78 percent voter turnout in the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections has proved that a free, fair and inclusive national election is possible even without the Awami League and Jatiya Party. “The 10 votes received by Shibir supported VP candidate Sadik Kayem at Jagannath Hall clearly shows that Shibir did not win with Awami League’s support. Instead, candidates from panels backed by Chhatra Dal and left-leaning student groups secured more votes.
