Water-logging in city has reduced significantly this year: DNCC administrator | News

DHAKA, Sept 11, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Administrator Mohammad Azaz has said that water-logging in the city has reduced significantly this year due to specific measures taken by the government which includes identification of problem areas and improvement of the city's overall drainage system.Speaking at a press conference titled "DNCC's Initiatives and Action Plan to Resolve Water-logging in Dhaka" held at the Nagar Bhaban in Gulshan this afternoon, Azaz said, "Despite record rainfall this year, water-logging in major roads has been minimized due to our sincere efforts in identifying vulnerable spots, digging 96 kilometers of canals and cleaning 220 kilometers of drains during the last six months."The DNCC Administrator also highlighted the challenges in resolving water-logging...
