Mastermind in health sector corruption during AL regime Mithu sent to jail | Others

DHAKA, Sept 11, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today sent Motazzerul Islam Mithu, the mastermind of corruption in the health sector during the Awami League (AL) regime, to jail in a case filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). Acting Judge of Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Court Md Ibrahim Mia sent Mithu to jail as he was produced before the court in a corruption case. Earlier, around 11 pm on Wednesday, a team of DB-Wari Division arrested Mithu in a raid conducted in Gulshan in the capital.
