Rain in Dhaka brings a little relief from searing heat

After several days of scorching heat, the sky over Dhaka city was cloudy on Thursday. And eventually, when the rain came down, Bangladesh’s capital saw a little relief from the scalding temperatures. Other parts of the country have also seen rain on Thursday. Meteorologist Afroza Sultana said, “Currently, there isn’t a possibility of too much more rain. The weather may be good. Then, from Sunday or Monday, we might see three to four days of rain.” In its daily bulletin, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said the axis of the monsoon troughs runs through Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central Bangladesh.
