Jamaat delegation meets Australian High Commissioner | Others

DHAKA, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS) - A delegation of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami today called on Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Susan Ryle at her residence in the capital. During the meeting, the two sides discussed various bilateral and national issues, including the forthcoming national elections, the proportional representation (PR) system and Jamaat's role in strengthening democratic practices in Bangladesh. The delegation also elaborated on Jamaat's stance regarding women's rights and empowerment in economic, social and administrative spheres. They further exchanged views on Bangladesh's economic prospects, particularly in the energy and garment sectors.
