DHAKA, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS) - Country's both bourses, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) - today plunged due mainly to price fall in large-cap securities. The DSEX, the broad index of the DSE, lost 65.1 points to close at 5,473, down from 5,538 in the previous session. Meanwhile, market turnover contracted by 19.3% to Taka 9.5 billion, compared to Taka 11.7 billion in the previous session. Sectoral participation was led by Pharmaceuticals (12.9%), followed by Engineering (11.4%) and Textiles (9.5%).
