Taufel set to arrive in Bangladesh on Sept 13 | Sports

DHAKA, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS)- Former ICC Elite Panel Umpire Simon Taufel is allset to arrive in Dhaka on September 13 to train the Bangladeshi umpires. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has appointed him on a two-year contract. He will work across umpiring and match officiating structures, includingassessment and grading of umpires. Taufel, an Australian umpire, has won the ICC Umpire of the Year award fivetimes in a row. Taufel started his umpiring career in 1999 and got the opportunity toofficiate in a Test in 2000.
