DHAKA, Sept 10, 2025(BSS) - The Ministry of Shipping today suspended two senior officials of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) allegedly for taking bribe from a contractor. The ministry following an instruction from Shipping Adviser Brigadier General (Rtd) Dr M Sakhawat Hossain has suspended Additional Director (Marine) of the BIWTA Md Abdur Rahim and its Deputy Director Md Obaidul Karim Khan.
