Speakers call for protecting Halda natural fish breeding ground to boost country’s fish production   | District

RANGAMATI, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS) – Speakers at a stakeholders seminar today urged all concerned to work together to protect the breeding ground of Halda natural fish breeding ground aimed at increasing production of carp species of fishes in the country. Describing Halda as the biggest natural fish breeding ground in Asia, they stressed on taking all out efforts to protect the river from pollution so that the natural fish breeding ground is not hampered anymore.
